What is the e-skills Professional Placement Scheme?

The e-skills Professional Placement Scheme is a unique programme which aims to boost student employability. Defined by employers and universities across the UK, students follow a set of best practices and learning outcomes to maximise their employability skills. In recognition, students can be awarded an employer-endorsed national certificate, adding real value to their internship.

Most existing placements can be ‘upgraded’ to an e-skills Professional Placement simply by registering on this site. Once a student has given us their details we invite their employer and university tutor to join. Working with over 55 universities, we already have good academic coverage and more are joining every week.

Once registered students complete the monthly work summaries in consultation with their employer. Examples of these, and a sample certificate can be viewed at www.e-skills.com/internship/students.
